Committees

ICC includes of a number of committees that work in conjunction with the Board of Directors to manage and oversee all of the various aspects of ICC. Each committee has a specific area of responsibility and works to address issues, resolve problems, and create policy related to that area. Some committees have the power to take action and make policy changes on their own, while others research and discuss issues and make recommendations to another decision making body, either the Board or the membership.

Executive Coordinating Committee (ECC)

Addresses ICC-wide issues, manages small problems for the Board, and coordinates all other committees. Chaired by the Committee Coordinator. Membership is comprised of all other committee chairs including the Finance Coordinator, the Facilities Coordinator, the Membership Coordinator, the Education Coordinator, the Board Coordinator and the Future Asset Development Coordinator. Management Committee (ManCom)

Evaluates and proposes changes to the ICC standing rules and by-laws, conducts elections, works of staffing issues and policies. Chaired by the Board Coordinator. Membership is comprised of house trustees and delegated board members.

Finance Committee (FiCom)

Creates and reviews budget and other financial proposals before they are sent to the board. Chaired by the Finance Coordinator. Membership is comprised of house treasurers and delegated board members.

Facilities Committee (FacCom)

Addresses maintenance issues within ICC houses and for the organization as a whole. Also works to ensure basic safety requirements, develop priorities for facilities budget, and allocate funds from the Facilities Discretionary Fund to houses. Chaired by the Facilities Coordinator. Membership comprised of house maintenance officers and delegated board members.

Membership Committee (MemCom)

Considers policy and makes recommendations relating to contracts, occupancy, and areas that effect the relationship between members, the houses, and the overall organization. Also deals with areas of recruitment via advertising, the newsletter, and the website. Chaired by the Membership Coordinator. Membership comprised of house membership officers and delegated board members.

Education Committee (EdCom)

Concerned with the growth of the formal, informal, and cooperative education of the membership. Chaired by the Education Coordinator. EdCom plans ICC-wide activities related to health and safety, anti-discrimination, recreation and more. Membership comprised of house education officers and delegated board members.

Future Asset Development Committee (FADCom)

Explores the future development of ICC property and other assets such as redevelopment of current houses and purchase or lease of new property. Chaired by the Future Asset Development Coordinator. Membership for this ad-hoc committee is voluntary and open to all interested members.
